Cookie notice
What is stored in your browser, and why the site has no consent banner.
Unfinished document. The company details are not filled in yet. This text is a template and must be reviewed by a lawyer before the site goes live.
No banner, because we have nothing to ask you
Consent is only needed for cookies that are not necessary for the site to work - advertising, tracking, profiling. This site sets none of those, does not follow you between sites and does not build a profile of your behaviour. That is why the site shows no consent pop-up.
The site is built not to collect any data that would require consent.
What is stored in your browser
- Nothing while you browse. The catalogue and the questionnaire work without setting a cookie.
- A brief technical trace when a form is sent. The “are you human” check on the enquiry page may leave a temporary technical record for the duration of the check itself. Without it the form is flooded by bots.
- A session for the admin area. Set only on logging into the internal panel, and only on our own machine. Visitors to the site do not receive this cookie.
All three fall under the strictly-necessary exemption - which is why the law does not require consent for them.
The map on the “Who we are” page
The map is supplied by Google, and loading it sets Google's own cookies. It is not strictly necessary, so it does not load by itself. In its place stands a button that says what will happen, and nothing is sent to Google until you press it.
If you do not press it, the map is not loaded and nothing happens. The address, the opening hours and a link to Google Maps are written beneath it, so you can find us without opening the map. The consent applies to the current visit and is not remembered.
How we count visits without cookies
We need to know which pages are doing any work, so we use Plausible Analytics - a European service that counts page views without cookies, without the IP address in the clear, and without recognising individual visitors on a later visit. The result is aggregate visit statistics.
What we do not do
- we do not place advertising pixels - neither Meta's nor Google's;
- we do not use Google Analytics;
- we do not resell or share data with advertising networks;
- we do not track what you do on other sites.
How to restrict them
Every browser allows cookies to be blocked in its settings. Blocking them will not stop you browsing the site; it may stop a form being sent, because the spam check will not pass.
If this ever changes
If we add a tool that requires consent, we will ask for your consent before loading it and update this notice.
How we process the data from the form is described in the privacy notice.
